The truth about Sadie...

Platoon of Four update.
Everybody in the Platoon of Four is alive except Sadie. Sadie died in July of congenital heart failure. Duke is all alone in the labrador kennel and is doing all right. Winter is coming in a month and he is getting ready for it. Since Sadie died, Duke has been more obedient than ever, he would come to me when I call him instead of following Sadie around. He would stay in the yard. Sadie did what she liked to do during the last hour of her life, walking. She walked then couldn't walk anymore and nose started bleeding. She was very skinny also so that means she didn't eat very good. I was wondering why she was getting skinny during the last month of her life. So we put her asleep to end her suffering. It was for the best. Sadie was a very good lovable dog. Speedy is still doing his job as a hearing dog for my sister, Becky. He's doing better though. He also went on a big trip to North Carolina in July to see his aunt Karen and cousin Foster. I wasn't there but I heard that he constantly played with Foster during the whole visit. Speedy also went to the beach, I saw pictures of him and he had sand all over him. He did not like to get wet though. Speedy also flew in a big plane on Becky's lap and they tell me he would bark every time the seatbelt ring rang. Sandy, good old Sandy, has lost a little bit of weight and feels a lot healthier. She is the joy in the house. She likes to play with Duke but not Speedy, she would run with Duke in the backyard. Then at last, the mongrel cat, Jasper Belle, is still meowing like crazy. Found a place to sleep, out on the field by my neighbor's house right against the fence and under the apple tree. He goes out at night to catch mice and grasshoppers. He loves his job. He then come and visits once a while when Duke and Speedy are not around. Well, that's the update for The Platoon of Four. (It's been since April!)

(sighs), I don't know what to do with them...

This is Duke's first deer and Sadie's tenth(Sadie has been clean for 6 years). One and a half week ago we were at Black Hill hiking around and I didn't think there would be deer there. I guess the whole thing is my fault because I took them there. Yep, they killed an innocent deer and we left the deer all knawed off and still alive lieing there. We got out of there soon as possible just in case no one saw us. I came home so sad and upset. I felt bad for the deer and upset with Sadie and Duke. Maybe it's just a natural thing for them, that's way dogs are I guess. Sadie and Duke are not alone, one time I talked to Niki Christiansen(Niki Gordon) and she said her neighborhood dogs had killed some deer before too around that area(by the Canyon Road). It's a sad thing but it's just what dogs do and you can get in real big trouble about it. I got in trouble with some farmers and residents their back in the Sadie days and I haven't took her up there ever since. I took them to Black Hill all summer last year so I guess I learned that I shouldn't take them there in the spring time. Just wait until the deer are in the deep mountains this year then I will take them there.

Sanpete Stupidity

for those lucky enough not to live in Sanpete:
1. You don't have to worry about the devil dancing around your head like Kerry Steck says.
2. You don't have to worry about working continually solid days and nights not worrying about grace because "you done it all".
3. You don't have to shovel water for the neighbors like what Becky Fore does.
p.s. I can't wait to move into my stainless steel, hardwood floor, 26 floors above the ground condo. AND leave Sanpete for good and be around normal people who work normal hours and rely on the Savior for some help.
p.p.s. I don't have to worry about dogs at large anymore!
p.p.p.s. I am tired of Sanpeters doing it "their way".
The Putz has had it all. They expect 80 year old widows earn their own welfare money.
